Perry falls to Nevada 41-13

Perry football traveled to Nevada last Friday, Sept. 7 for their third game of the season and fell to their opponent 41-13.

Kaleb Olejniczak passed 56 yards on Friday and came out to have six of his 18 passes completed. With 24 rush attempts and 5.3 yards per carry, Olejniczak contributed one touchdown to the Bluejays score. Cori Alamina was the another Bluejay to put his team on the scoreboard while Kato Dougan contributed his own touchdown and a total of 45 receiving yards. Dougan had two receptions while Jacob Nelson had three and Justin Stammer with one.

Olejniczak also showed up to compete with 24 rush attempts and 128 rushing yards. Alongside him, Stammer came with 11 rush attempts and 30 rushing yards.

Leading the team in solo tackles were Olejniczak and Wilber Ramirez with four a piece. Olejniczak ended with 13 tackle assists and Rony Reyes ended with nine tackle assists. Cori Alamina, Xavier Craddock, Erick Funez, Jacob Nelson, Rony Reyes, Cole Snyder, Justin Stammer, and Ever Tobar each chalked up one solo tackle a piece while also contributing at least one tackle assist to the game.

Jace Johnson was one to have two solo tackles and nine tackle assists before the game was over.

The Bluejays are now coming up on their homecoming game versus North Polk. North Polk is currently 2-1 overall. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14 at Dewey Field.
