The Perry Summer Swim Team came out of this year’s season with a number of accomplishments. The team was made up of several All Around All Stars, Conference All Stars and specific category All Stars.

In order to attain the title of All Around Perry All Star a swimmer has to be in the top 10 percent of point earners on the team for the season. Conference All Around status is given to a swimmer who has earned 180 points in the season on relays and individual events. Isaac Winey, Kane Mahler-Moreno, Quin Maher-Moreno, Sophia McDevitt and Dannah Korolus each received both of these honors this season.

A swimmer can reach the Perry All Star level by receiving 30 points in a single stroke during one season. In order to become a Conference All Star a swimmer must receive 36 points in a single stroke during the season.

Isabelle Powell, Sarah Prombo and Isaac Winey were Individual Stroke All Stars in the 8 and under category and Madeline McDevitt, Aleah Karolus, Townes Wilson and Kane Mahler-Moreno received the same honor in the 9-10 year old category.

Sophia McDevitt, Quin Mahler-Moreno and Garrett Winey obtained All Star ratings for their individual strokes in the 11-12 year old category while Jaylene Karolus, Sam Ridnour, Jacob Sorey and Isaac Noble are All Stars in the 13-14 year old group.

Breanna Penenger, Dannah Karolus, Andrew Dowd and Eli Noble cleaned up the 15-18 age group with All Star ratings of their own.

Registration to be a part of the Perry Area Winter Swim team will be available later this fall.
