Bluejays fall to the Dutch in second-to-last regular season game

The second-to-last regular season game for the Perry Bluejays took place on Monday, July 9 at home. Perry lost to Pella in five innings 17-5.

This game saw three pitchers on Perry’s side and the first of which was Keghan West. West ended the game with no strikeouts and only two walks.

The next player to take the mound was Avery Meister with three strikeouts in three innings as well as only three earned runs and one base on balls.

Aaaron Lockwood pitched for one inning before the game was over and struck out on Pella batter while also ending up with five earned runs.

Justin Stammer had the game high for his team by scoring two runs for the Bluejays while Kaleb Olejniczak, West, and Meister each contributed one run as well.

Meister was able to hit two RBIs in this competition along with one RBI each coming from Kato Dougan, Gavin Boyer, and Olejniczak.

The Bluejays are now 8-11 and will play their last regular season game on Wednesday, July 11 at home beginning at 7 p.m.
