The first inning was almost an even match up as Winterset was able to score two runs while Perry retaliated with one run of their own.

Alyssa Kruger pitched the entire game and ended up with five earned runs, two strikeouts, and three walks.

Johanna Diw continued her streak of impressive shows at Tuesday nights game when she was able to hit one single, as well as score the lone run on a Gabby West single. This left Diw batting the game 2-for-4 and West batting 2-for-3.

The game ended with five Jayette errors, but three of them were misplays on base hits that gave their opponent extra bases.

This leaves Perry at 11-20 overall. The Jayettes will begin the Varsity Softball Regional tournament on Thursday, July 5 at Carroll beginning at 7 p.m.
