The Perry Jayettes softball team (16-9, 3-6) put up 12 runs in three innings and blanked the host Carroll Tigers for Perry’s third conference win this season.

A Maddie West RBI groundout and Brooke Huntington’s RBI single closed out the five run inning.

In the second the Jayettes tacked on four more runs that began when Vancil’s single brought home Diw and then Kruger blasted a two run homer for a 8-0 lead. Two batters later, Jans’ groundout sent Kinney home for a Jayette 9-0 advantage.

The visitors last three runs came in the third inning with two outs. Vancil singled and moved to second when Kruger walked. Kinney sent Vancil home on a single and Olejniczak followed with a two RBI single.

Vancil led the team a the plate with a 3 for 3 afternoon. Kruger went 1 for 1 and scored two runs. Kinney, Huntington and West each had a hit and Olejniczak was 2 for 3.
