Perry Chamber hosting Better My Business Workshop on July 31

Submitted to The Chief

PERRY – The Perry Chamber of Commerce launched a business development program in May. The Better My Business Workshop Series & Grant Competition includes monthly sessions on various topics designed to help business owners grow their business, as well as assist individuals looking to start a business. The series will conclude in February with the Better My Business Battle, a “Shark Tank” type grant competition.

The next workshop will be hosted on July 31:

Business Model Canvas with Jenica Johnson of the Small Business Development Center at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Writing a business plan can be daunting, but don’t let that hold you back from getting started! The Business Model Canvas is a great tool to start brainstorming and working through the fundamental elements of a business or product, which will help in communicating your idea, guiding your business decisions, and ultimately writing a business plan. If you’re thinking about starting a business, or already have one, but haven’t quite gotten around to writing a business plan, this is a great workshop to get you started, using The Business Model Canvas. Register online:

The workshop will be held at the Town/Craft Center upstairs meeting room and is free to attend. Preregistration is requested.
