Woodward-Granger High School crowns homecoming royalty

Gabriel Yingst and Briley Bermel were crowned the 2018 Woodward-Granger High School Homecoming King and Queen during a coronation ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 27.

King candidates included Yingst, Noah Hoyt, Noah Gleason, Hunter Pifer and Samuel Peterson. Queen candidates included Bermel, Sophia David, Josie Noland, Alissa Smeltzer and Ashlyn Soelberg.

The Little Royalty included Nellie Nixon and Rylan Gohn.

The coronation ceremony capped an evening that included a parade and pep rally. Fall athletes spoke during the pep rally. The high school band and cheerleaders also performed for the crowd.

W-G will take on Woodward Academy at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28.
