September 3, 2018

A male Perry resident turned onto Highway 141 from Willis St., when he was struck in the rear end by a vehicle driven by a female Perry resident. Male and a passenger were transported to Mercy Hospital by the Dallas County EMS, female was transported to Methodist Hospital by the Dallas County EMS. Damage to both vehicles estimated at $7,000. Female driver was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

September 4, 2018

A Grimes resident was traveling on Highway 141 when he exited the ramp and came to the stop sign at Highway 210 and was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by a Woodward resident. No injuries reported. Damage to both vehicles estimated at $12,000. Woodward resident was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

September 5, 2018

A male Panora resident was traveling near the 105 mile marker of Interstate 80 when he lost control due to the heavy rain and went into the south ditch striking a post then going down to the bottom of the hill when his vehicle struck a tree. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $4,000 and $300 to the post.

A 38 year old male, Redfield resident was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

September 6, 2018

A 25 year old male Johnston resident was cited and released in the 18000 block of Highway 141 Diagonal for driving under suspension.

A 29 year old male Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for theft.

A 47 year old female Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of theft.

A 59 year old male Tinley Park, Illinois resident was arrested in the 16000 block of Old Highway 6 for OWI, speeding and passing contrary to highway sign.

September 1, 2018

A male Granger resident was traveling north in the 18000 block of Y Ave., when he came around the roadway curve and was unable to stop from colliding with a vehicle driven by a female Ames resident that had stopped in the roadway because of the flooded roadway. No injuries reported. Damage to both vehicles estimated at $3,000. Ames resident was cited for driving while license suspended and no insurance.

A Dexter resident reported that someone took an off road light off his pickup that was parked in the 900 block of Dallas Street.

A 22 year old male Waukee resident was cited and released in the 24000 block of Highway 6 for driving while license suspended.

A 37 year old male Adel resident was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of assault.

September 9, 2018

A 37 year old female Orient resident was cited and released in the 36000 block of N Ave., De Soto for driving while license suspended.

A 19 year old male Perry resident was arrested at 3rd St. and North St., Perry for driving under suspension.

A Des Moines resident reported someone tried breaking into property owned at 31684 Old Portland Rd. and damaged a window.

A 23 year old male Perry resident was arrested in the 19000 block of Highway 141 Diagonal for OWI.

September 10, 2018

A 25 year old male Casey resident was arrested in the 25000 block of 360th for operate without interlock and driving while license suspended.

A Van Meter resident was traveling east in the 25000 block of 360th when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $1,500.

A 24 year old male Urbandale resident was arrested on a warrant for OWI.
