DES MOINES – As summer comes to a close, LifeServe Blood Center is urging donors to get back into the swing of giving blood.

Only 38 percent of the American population is eligible to give blood, but only 5 percent of those eligible donors actually roll up their sleeves to save lives. We need LifeServers to make giving blood a year round habit.

Start back in at a blood drive in your community.

The next local blood drive will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 at Dallas County Hospital.
