8-27-18

A Perry resident reported a bicycle left on his property. Officers responded and put it into the bike shed. A short while later, an individual reported his bike stolen. Officers told individual to pick up bike at bike shed.

A Perry resident reported a tree limb down at 3rd and Dewey Streets. Street department was notified.

Officers conducted school patrol.

Carris Funeral Home requested an escort from First Baptist Church to Violet Hill Cemetery.

A Perry resident reported a bag of marijuana found in the 1300 block of 1st Avenue. Officers logged item into evidence.

A two vehicle accident was reported in the 700 block of 1st Avenue. No injuries reported. Damages estimated at $1400. One driver was cited for improper lane change.

A two vehicle accident was reported in the 1200 block of 2nd Street. No injuries reported. No damage estimates listed.

Casey’s General Store on 1st Avenue reported a $29 gas drive off.

A Perry resident reported a breaking and entering in the 1400 block of 6th Street. A TV, dish receivers and remotes were taken.

A Des Moines resident was arrested and charged with driving while revoked following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Highway 141.

A Perry resident reported a motorcycle revving its engine in the 1300 block of Otley. Officers made contact with owner.

A Perry resident was arrested and charged with domestic assault in the 500 block of Grove Street.

Officers conducted school patrol.

A Perry resident was arrested and charged with operating under the influence 2nd offense.

A Perry resident reported theft in the 1800 block of 2nd Street. USB power stand, sound bar and a saw were reported missing. Items believed to be taken by individual known to reporting party.

A Perry resident reported a found bicycle in the 1600 block of Evelyn Street. Officers responded and put bicycle in bike shed.

Casey’s General Store on 1st Avenue reported a gas drive off of $46.

A Des Moines resident found a set of keys in the 900 block of Railroad Street. Keys were logged into evidence.

A Perry resident was arrested and charged with driving under suspension following a traffic stop.

A Perry resident reported stolen property in the 1600 block of 5th Street. Tools were taken from a garage. Officers responded and took report.

A Perry resident reported two horses in a backyard in the 2300 block of Sunrise Street. Officers assisted in getting horses back into property of owner.

A 48 year old male Perry resident was arrested in the 400 block of Willis Avenue for driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of prescription drugs following a traffic stop.

A 39 year old female Perry resident was arrested in the 1200 block of 141st Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of contraband, OWI-first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of prescription drugs and interference with official acts following a traffic stop.

A Perry resident reported a dog at large in the 1900 block of 4th Street. Officers responded and transported dog to the pound.

Officers conducted a warrant check in the 1300 block of Willis Avenue and arrested a 38 year old male from Indianola for a serious misdemeanor.
