1. Friday Fest

6:30-10 p.m. Friday, July 20 at Pattee Park Band Shell.

Perry’s 2018 Friday Fest will held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on July 20 with free music and family entertainment. RUKKUS will play 1980s rock covers, along with some alternative rock mixed in. Perry-area food and refreshment vendors will be available. Attendees can also bring their own cooler with beverages (no glass), chairs and picnic blankets.

2. Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast

8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Elks Lodge 407, 2823 Willis Ave.

The Perry Boy Scout Troop 127 is hosting a pancake breakfast on July 21. The breakfast, held at the Elks Lodge 407, will feature pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for kids.

3. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Police/Fire Station parking lot, 908 Willis Ave.

The City of Perry will collect household hazardous waste on July 21. Items accepted include antifreeze, batteries (only rechargeable), cleaners, fertilizers, fluorescent light bulbs, glues, gasoline, kerosene, motor oil and oil filters (used), oil based paint, pesticides, poison, pool chemicals, roofing tar, stains, varnishes, thermostats, thermometers (mercury), vegetable oil, weed killers and windshield fluid. Items not accepted include ammunition, asbestos, electronics, explosives, fire extinguishers, latex paint, medications, propane tanks and radioactive materials. 4. Friends of the Library Craft Fundraiser

9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Perry Public Library large meeting room.

July 2 was celebrated as World UFO Day and the Friends of the Perry Public Library are offering a UFO FUNdraiser, in keeping with the 2018 Discover Space Summer Reading Program theme. The event is for crafters of all kinds. Bring your UFOs (UnFinished Objects), work at your own table in companionship with others and get those projects completed. Registration is limited to 20 crafters. For a $30 donation to the Friends, you receive six feet of crafting space with electrical outlets, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks and beverages, as well as 11 hours of craft time.
