Thacker-Bess sentenced for January child endangerment charge
Tracy Thacker-Bess, of Woodward, was sentenced to five years in prison on the charge of child endangerment with bodily injury, a Class D felony. That charge was suspended during sentencing on Friday, July 13 at the Dallas County Courthouse.
Judge Thomas Patrick Murphy suspended the five-year prison sentence and the associated fines. Thacker-Bess will be on probation for five years. She will also have to complete an intermediate criminal sanctions program and an assaultive behavioral class.
The no contact order for Thacker-Bess was continued for five years and she must abstain from alcohol, court documents show.
Thacker-Bess was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment with bodily injury on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.
A jury trial scheduled for March was continued. Thacker-Bess entered a plea on the child endangerment with bodily injuy charge on June 1.
