4-H Clothing Day Event Results
ADEL — On Saturday, June 18, Iowa State University Extension Dallas County 4-H’ers participated in an annual Clothing Day Event led by 4-H volunteer Denise Hansen.
Youth choose to participate in at least one of three categories which included outfits selected with no dollar limit, a $15 challenge or handmade garments.
Clover Kids, 4-H’ers who are in kindergarten through third grade, were given various awards from super sewer and best accessories to perfectly poised and creatively coordinated.
In the Junior and Intermediate age-groups top ribbons were given to Bianca Fuquey, Elle Nelsen, Lane Nelsen, Kaylin Dains, Celia Kreifels and Jessica Jean. Elaine Struthers, Piper Carroll and Kayla Maher received blue ribbons.
Brynn Hansen was chosen through the Senior $15 Challenge to represent Dallas County at the Iowa State Fair’s Awardrobe Event.
“We’re very proud of the youth who participated in this year’s clothing event,” said Aleta Cochran, Dallas County Extension Youth Coordinator. “We admire their commitment to always putting their best foot forward—while looking stylish.”
