Volunteers needed for weekend project

Volunteers are needed for an event this weekend.

Rock the Block, slated for Sept. 26, is a revitalization project in Perry, organized by the Dallas County Habitat for Humanity.

The group will work on three homes in town.

Volunteers can register at kick off at 8 a.m. at 512 Fifth St.

Lunch will be served at the same location at 11:30 a.m.
