Heidi Cruz visits Perry

Heidi Cruz, the wife of republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, visited Perry on Sept. 22. Heidi answered questions and talked to a small group at the Perry Perk. Heidi said her husband is a consist ant conservative. “He’s not a campaign conservative,” she said. “He will be able to turn out the vote to reignite the promise that is this country, that is America, to help those at the bottom of the economic lander succeed and climb that ladder to go from working in a business to owning a business. He is the candidate in the race that can defend our constitutional liberties and he will restore America’s leadership position in the world by supporting his role, not negotiating with our enemies, but supporting our friends.” Heidi said she loves small towns because she grew up in one. “Perry is a beautiful town nestled in the fields,” she said. “We’ve seen a lot of picturest barns today. The people I met here are the heart of this country and really execute the values this country was build on. And I love the architecture in Perry as well. I’d love to come back.” Photo by Stephanie Ivankovich
