Perry man charged with assaulting a police officer

A Perry man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a police officer.

Jacob Sincock, 38, was arrested at the house of his ex-friend or ex-girlfriend, on the 2900 block of Kading, after police got a call that he was drunk and knocking on the door.

Eric Vaughn, Perry police chief, said when police arrived to the house he was lying on the ground. When he started to get up police told him to get down and he resisted, the police chief said.

While resisting, Sincox scratched a police officer while she was trying to handcuff him, he said.

Sincock is charged with public intoxication, interference with official acts and assault on a peace officer.
