Dallas County Hospital CEO resigns

Dallas County Hospital is moving forward with their search for a new Chief Executive Officer after Matt Wille, current CEO, announced his resignation, as he has accepted a position in the Twin Cities with Allina Health. He will continue to lead Dallas County Hospital through October 29th.

“Matt will definitely be missed,” said Donna Vandehaar, Dallas County Hospital’s Chief Clinical Officer. “He has done great things for this organization over the last five years. He has been instrumental in leading improvement efforts for patient satisfaction and quality, as well as increasing our reach across the county by offering expanded community education opportunities. We are sad to see him go, but we are also excited for him as he begins the next chapter in his life!”

The search for Matt’s replacement will begin shortly. The Board of Trustees, along with Dallas County Hospital’s strategic partner, Mercy Health Network, are working toward recruiting a permanent CEO as well as an Interim CEO for the period between October 29th and when the permanent CEO begins.

“I truly have enjoyed my time here at Dallas County Hospital,” said Matt Wille. “We are a family here, which made my decision to leave a very difficult one. I know that this organization will continue to have much success. The physicians, nurses and staff will continue to provide the same knowledgeable and compassionate care that our patients have come to expect from us. I wish everyone at Dallas County Hospital, as well as the communities we serve, all of the best. It has been a great honor to work here.”
