The Trent Miner Memorial Tournament will be held for the 14th consecutive year, continuing the support for a number of causes with a fun family event. Held on Sunday, Aug. 11 at the Perry Golf and Country Club, registrations are currently open. Call or visit to sign up.

Keeping with the usual format, the 13 years and under group will tee off at 9 a.m. with alternate shot scoring. Registration is $10 per person for the group.

The 14 and older bracket begins at 1 p.m. for a best shot contest. Registration costs $25 per person.

While the groups are encouraged as parent-child duos, the parent may also be a relative.

There will also be a contest for the longest drive, longest put, and more. A silent auction and raffle will also be held.

Last year’s tournament saw over 80 participants having a “Trent Day,” which Trent’s mother Joelle Miner said means to have the best day ever.

Continuing tradition, all proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation to help fulfill kids’ dreams and the non-profit social network CaringBridge used to connect family and friends during medical emergencies.
