Several new coaches have joined the athletic department at Perry High School this year as the district gears up for another school year.

The most recent transfer was made to replace former head girls basketball coach Chris Morrow. Skylar Wolf is a University of Northern Iowa alumni who has been working as a Middle School Teacher at Perry for one year now. Formerly an assistant coach for the Jayettes, Wolf will be taking over as head coach for the 2018-19 season.

Another transfer was made after long-time head baseball coach Mike Long finished his last season with the Bluejays this past July. Former Assistant Coach Austin Daniels will now serve as the head coach for Perry Baseball.

Perry Football has seen the most new additions to its coaching staff as the team welcomes three newcomers in addition to Matt Hardy taking over as head coach. Alan Brash graduated from Wartburg College this past May and will work at St. Patrick Catholic School in the Physical Education and Health Department. Tony Oros is also a recent college graduate from Central College and will be working as a Physical Education teacher at Perry Middle School. Trayon Nash will be joining the coaching staff as well. Nash graduated from Graceland University in 2015 and currently plays professional football for the Iowa Barnstormers. Nash is also a personal trainer and works in the behavior support department at the Perry Success Room.

Perry Elementary Vice Principal Ryan Marzen will be joining the ranks as the head cross country coach and Allisa Bahney will be joining the varsity volleyball team as an assistant coach.
