What started out as a no-score game in the first two innings ended up in Perry’s favor as the softball team came out victorious in the third inning. The Jayettes scored both of the only two runs at Friday’s game against Carroll in one inning. Carroll came up with no runs leaving the score at 2-0.
Macy Kilmer led off the third inning with a single followed by a single by Grace Stewart that saw Kilmer to third base on a hit.
Johanna Diw batted 2-for-4 while contributing one RBI to her teams success along with one other RBI thanks to Kruger.
Alyssa Kruger pitched the no-run game striking out two batters and pitching only one base on balls.
The Jayettes are 8-12 overall and will travel to Pella on Saturday, June 23 for a tournament against Grinnell and Pella Christian.
