Woodward-Granger’s girls basketball team remain winless in the West Central Activities Conference after a 61-20 loss at the hands of the visiting Panorama Panthers (9-1, 6-0).

The Hawks (2-7, 0-6) dropped their fourth straight game this season and in the process failed to earn one WCAC win before the winter break.

Dec. 19, the Hawks were overwhelmed early against conference leader Panthers after the visitors opened up the first on a 20-4 run.

The home team didn’t fair better the following quarter as the Panthers dropped another 17 points and held their host to three.

Three points was all the Hawks’ scored after the half with the Panthers adding another 10 points to their lead with 13 more points.

The Hawks would not quit in the final quarter when they kept pace in the final minutes with 10 points while allowing 11.

Up next W-G gets some time off during the winter break to regroup and eye a possible WCAC win when they travel to Earlham on Jan. 2.
