Effective immediately, Perry Chamber of Commerce events and activities are postponed until further notice. This includes the Big Boom Bracket Battle, Annual Dinner, April Chamber Coffee and Spring Farmers Market, as well as Ambassador and Merchant meetings.

This decision is based on the latest information and updates from state and local officials about the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), as well as recommendations by the CDC to cancel or postpone events and gatherings of 50 people or more for the next eight weeks. The health of our members, volunteers and staff, as well as the Perry community as a whole, is a top priority and it is our social responsibility to postpone these events for the time being.

While it is recommended to practice preventative actions such as social distancing, the Perry Chamber of Commerce suggests the consideration of creative ways to still shop and support local businesses during this time of disruption:

Call ahead to check availability of hours and services, such as pre-ordering, curbside pick-up, delivery, and/or shipping to minimize in-person interactions. Check to see if purchasing online is an option at your favorite retailers – if it isn’t, they may still be able to take an order over the phone… just ask! Order take-out from your favorite restaurants. Buy a gift card or gift certificate to provide income to businesses now and for you to use later. Like, comment, and share social media posts to show your support.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce will maintain office hours in order to be a resource to its members and the community, but will limit in-person interactions. Communication efforts will continue via phone, email, e-newsletters and social media. Contact the Chamber at PerryChamber@PerryIA.org or (515)465-4601 with business updates or questions.
