A new love for music and arts is coming to Central Iowa. Cluster Funk is a community-driven music and arts festival for all ages launching this fall. Cluster Funk is a local event that supports artists, musicians and vendors in our community. Cluster Funk will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Jester Park Amphitheater in Granger.
“We have great pride in the community we are a part of,” said Jaydn Swailes, who co-founded Cluster Funk. “We have pulled together several homegrown vendors along with some of the best up-and-coming local talent to match.”
Vendors at Cluster Funk will be serving a diverse palate of food to match the diversity of attendees. Attendees will have a chance to try unique Chinese and Laotian cuisine in addition to some good, old-fashioned BBQ and ice cream. Cluster Funk is also taking place in one of the most well-maintained public parks in Iowa, Jester Park. Cluster Funk is committed to keeping the park as clean and trash-free as possible. The event will be pet-friendly and surrounded by beautiful trails and scenery.
The line-up of artists includes local and national artists. Akayna Calkins, Parker Reed, Jaxson, Beej & Gaml, James Tyler, Cray, The Calm Beef Aura Storm, Lav.ish, Wy-Lo, Trini, El Chopflow and Butl3r will be performing sets throughout the day. Cluster Funk also features two comedic performances by Danny Carman and Sid Juwarker. Meet all the artists at the Cluster Funk After Party, taking place at the Des Moines Social Club from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
