A joint press release from Chief Eric Vaughn and Superintendent Clark Wicks said the Perry Police Department was made aware of a similar threatening message that had been discovered in the girl’s bathroom of the Perry Middle School in the afternoon on Monday, May 13.
A bomb threat was found inside the middle school boys restroom on Thursday, May 9. No imminent threat was found and school was held on Friday, May 10.
Members of the school administration as well as the Perry Police Department are investigating the May 13 matter in order to identify any possible suspects. No credible information has been discovered at this time, the joint statement said.
No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is ongoing. It is believed at this time that there is no imminent threat to the safety of the students at the Perry Middle School or other school facilities.
