Friends of the Library March Trivia Fundraiser - March 7


The Friends of Perry Public Library will hold a trivia fundraising event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 at La Poste. Everyone is invited to join us for March Trivia! Register as an individual - or as a team of up to eight members - at the library (in advance) or at La Poste (the night of the event.) Registration is $10 per person. Tables are limited, so don’t wait! Gather your friends, wear your favorite team colors and enjoy some competitive fun. Register by March 4 and pick a category! All proceeds benefit the library. Shark Week Spring Break Programs - March 18, 20, 22


Perry Public Library will offer children’s Spring Break programs at the library this March. If you are planning a staycation, why not take a bite out of Spring Break and join us for some Shark Week fun? A program for 2- to 5-year-olds is offered at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18, with Baby Shark themed games, songs and activities. A program for 3rd-5th graders is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, with age-appropriate games and activities, in keeping with the theme. Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade have a program just for them, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22, with shark crafts, games and a shark piñata. The programs are free and no registration is needed! See you there!


Monthly Book Club Meeting - March 19


The Perry Public Library Monthly Book Club will hold the March book discussion at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 in the Clarion Room, 1102 Willis Ave. The selected title is “The Far Away Brothers: Two Young Migrants and the Making of an American Life” by Lauren Markham. All interested readers are invited to join the group! Discussion leader is Library Director Mary Murphy.


End of Life Planning Programs with Marcus Carris - March 25, 26


Perry Public Library will host Marcus Carris, of Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care, for programs on the important topic of End of Life Planning, for your choice of a morning or evening session. The morning program is offered at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 25 and the evening program is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26. These are free programs, offering practical information and thoughtful advice on the process of planning for the end of life and everyone is invited to attend either session.
