Art on the Prairie

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 downtown Perry.

The 9th annual Art on the Prairie will hit the streets of Perry on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11-12. The event will feature over 65 area artists throughout Perry’s downtown district. The event will also feature four authors, 10 poets and around 30 musicians. This year’s featured artist is Karen Cooper.

Artists will be located in La Poste, Hotel Pattee, Security Bank, Town Craft, Carnegie Library Museum, Betsy Peterson Designs, Perry Perk, Backwards Boutique, Studio on Second and Salvaged Soul.

Furrowed Fields Unveiling

5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 on corner of Willis Avenue and 2nd Street.

Perry’s fourth and final streetscape, “Furrowed Fields” will be unveiled on Nov. 10. Artist Jim Russell’s sculpture will honor the role agriculture played in Perry’s historical development. Artists Russell and his son, Matt, will speak, along with the DMACC president and local officials. The ribbon will be cut around 6:10 p.m., with food and beverages being served afterward at the Hotel Pattee.

BBQ Rib Dinner

5-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Trinity Lutheran Church Veterans Day BBQ Ribs Dinner will be held on Nov. 11. Ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, tossed salad, garlic bread and a beverage will be served for $8. Desserts will also be available. Veterans get a free dessert. Carryouts are available, call 515-465-3272.
