Haas Factory Outlet Machine Tool Sales Representative Brent Freeborn and Haas Factory Outlet Education and Events Representative Hope Riska recently presented a $16,000 check to Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Tool and Die Professor John Neumayer and DMACC Executive Vice President of College Operations Dr. Stan Jensen. Six second year Tool and Die students joined in the check presentation. They included Luke Welch of Woodward, Nicholas Althouse of Postville, Brandon Holliday of Waukee, Cameron Boudy of Des Moines, Austin McInville of Johnston and David Wright of Denison.
The money, from the Gene Haas Foundation, will be used for scholarships for students enrolled in DMACC’s Tool and Die program. This marks the third consecutive year the Gene Haas Foundation has donated money to be used for scholarships for DMACC Tool and Die students.
