ADEL - The Auditor’s Office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 27, 2018, for the voter pre-registration and absentee request deadline. Voters who register after Oct. 27 or on Election Day at the polls will need to show proof of residence and proof of identity. Proof of residency must be current within the last 45 days. Hard copy proof of residency (electronic copies are unacceptable) can be accomplished with:

• Property tax statement

• Utility bill

• Bank Statement

• Paycheck

• Other government document

Acceptable proofs of identification must contain a photo:

• An Iowa driver’s license

• Out-of-state driver’s license

• Non-driver identification card

• US passport

• Veteran ID

All forms of ID must be current, valid, and contain an expiration date. Voters may cast an absentee ballot at the Dallas County Auditor’s Office during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition, below is a list of satellite voting location and dates:

- St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7075 Ashworth Rd. West Des Moines, October 23 - 2pm-8pm

- Perry Public Safety, 908 Willis Ave. Perry, October 25 - 2pm-8pm

- Heartland Presbyterian Church, 14300 Hickman Rd. Clive, October 27 - 10am-4pm

- Dallas County Auditor’s Office, 210 N 10th St Adel, October 18, 22, 23, and 25 - 8am-8pm; October 27 - 8am-5pm; November 3 - 8am-5pm
