The Spring Valley campus of Perry Lutheran Homes celebrated National Assisted Living Week with a number of activities.

Spring Valley kicked off the national week, held from Sept. 9-15, with a fashion show on Monday, Sept. 10.

Fashion by the HallTree brought racks of clothing to Spring Valley from its store in Urbandale. Some of the clothes were modeled by assisted living residents of the Spring Valley and Willis campuses of Perry Lutheran Homes.

The other racks of clothes were then offered for sale to those attending the fashion show. Door prizes were also handed out.

The Spring Valley residents continued National Assisted Living Week with a community meal and animal presentation by the Blank Park Zoo on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Community members are invited to an Antiques Roadshow with Rob Wenger at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13. Those interested are encouraged to bring one antique item to share.

Spring Valley also invites the community to attend Happy Hour at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
