The Perry Chamber of Commerce kicked off the grocery round-up to help raise money for Perry’s Fourth of July fireworks celebration on Monday, May 21.

Those interested in donating can first round-up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar or more this week at Hy-Vee and Fareway. The event kicked off on May 21 with live radio broadcasts at both locations.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti and Board President Emily Leslie were on hand at both stores to talk about the round-up events. Ambassador Courtney Straker also helped raise money at Hy-Vee with a donation bucket.

Customers can continue to donate to the fireworks celebration by rounding up their purchases this week. The round-up runs through May 26 at Fareway and through May 28 at Hy-Vee.

Donations may also be directed to the Perry Chamber of Commerce at any time by stopping in to 1124 Willis Avenue, Suite A.
