We would like to invite the singles of Perry for a night of games, music and food. Come meet some new people and make some friends. Cost is $5.

2. Learn to use a Cricut

1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the McCreary Recreation Center Gym.

Guest Nicole Connick, Minburn Library Director, will give demonstrations and provide a hands-on learning experience for anyone interested in learning to use the die cut machine. Everyone is welcome. Stop by, try it out and “make and take” a project home. For more information, call the Perry Public Library at 515-465-3569.

3. Greater Des Moines Community Band

2 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at Perry Performing Arts Center, 1200 18th St.

The Perry Fine Arts Series will present the Greater Des Moines Community Band on April 15. The band is an ensemble of 65-plus voluntary musicians ages 16 to 80+ who love to share their lifetime love of music by performing concerts.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce provided a grant that helps to make this concert possible. Perry Fine Arts concerts are free, though donations are accepted, and open to all. The Perry Performing Arts Center is handicapped accessible.
