It was an exciting battle of equal talents as Woodward-Granger volleyball traveled to South Hamilton High School for the latest match in their post season set up. The Hawks defeated their host in four sets winning the first 25-22, losing the second 25-19, and winning the final two 25-21 and 25-17.

Anna Tague showed up to dominate with her team high of 12 kills while Ashlyn Soelberg and Katelyn Bandstra tied for the lead in digs racking up 19 each. The team as a whole had a total of 89 digs, 31 kills, and eight blocks. Serve efficiency came out to be 0.978 with nine aces in the mix. Other Hawks that contributed immensely to the numbers were Natalie Weaver with 11 kills and six digs as well as Emma Drake who ended the night with 12 digs and five kills of her own.

As Head Coach Bailey Hunt’s first season leading the W-G netter, they now rack up a season record of 23-10. Now the Hawks will advance to the Region 4 Semifinals on Thursday, Oct. 25 in Jewell. BCLUW will meet up with W-G after they recently played Belle Plaine to determine their next round and came out on top.
