BAXTER — Four late free throws helped lift W-G to a 43-39 non-conference win over CMB in girls basketball action last Friday.

W-G led by a point with a minute remaining when Abby Musser sank a pair of foul shots. Tori Manning then came up with a clutch steal, with Annie Webb knocking down two at the line for a 43-38 edge to seal the win in the season opener for both teams.

Musser led W-G with 13 points, with Dalaney Bice adding eight points and Manning and Mary Hansen six points apiece. Abby Hansen and Riley Jamison added four points apiece while Webb had two points.

Bice pulled down six rebounds, with Manning making seven steals while Musser had six caroms, seven assists and four thefts and Abby Hansen tallying four boards and two blocked shots.

Senior Abbie Haupert poured in 24 points for CMB and completed the rare triple-double with 11 points and an impressive 12 blocked shots.
