The Perry Summer Swim Team dropped a pair of meets last week, suffering a tough 311-302 setback at Guthrie Center June 20 after being handed a 392-225 defeat by visiting Jefferson June 18.

Laura Finneseth (15-18), Haley Vaughn (13-14) and Stephanie Hill (11-12) all had five victories for the Perry girls at Guthrie Center, with Devon Archer (13-14) winning five times for the Perry boys.

Michael Reuter (15-18) had three wins for the boys squad, with Riese Archer, Andrew Dowd, Dylan Winey and Khyler Carstarphen (all-9-10) each winning twice to account for the only other wins for the Perry boys.

Shaleah Ewing (15-18) had four victories for the girls team, with Haileigh Kenyon (15-18) and Jaylene Karolus (8U) posting triple wins while Caley Hager and Elise Hill (both 13-14) and Breanna Penenger, Zowie Strough and Sarah Vaughn (all 11-12) recorded two wins each.

Wins were sparse against a good Jefferson squad that has plenty of depth. Finneseth had five wins, with Shaleah Ewing, Stephanie Hill, Kenyon and Strough winning three times apiece.
