Perry baseball hosted Ballard on Thursday, June 29 unfortunately falling to their opponent 12-2.
The two runs on the Bluejays end came from Kaleb Olejniczak and Avery Meister.
Despite the low-scoring game Perry made an impressive show early on in the game.
Aaron Lockwood was able to start the second inning off with a single hit and later made it to second while Kato Dougan hit a single of his own.
The third inning started out strong as well with Meister leading the way followed by a hit from Olejniczak. Gavin Boyer was able get a hit as well before getting out on his way to second base. Lockwood hit a single next, but not before Olejniczak and Meister made their way to home plate.
Carpenter made his appearance at the mound known with two strikeouts and no walks.
This brings the Bluejays’ season record to 8-8. Perry will head to Grinnell on Monday to take on their next opponent beginning at 7 p.m.
