Last night the Jayettes softball team ended up traveling to Boone after several weather delays. The teams ended up facing off an hour before the original scheduled start time and Boone took home the win, 8-0.

Alyssa Kruger took the mound for the entirety of the game on Thursday with zero strikeouts and no base on balls. Out of all the pitches Kruger threw, Boone came out of the game with 18 hits against the senior athlete. Boone only went one inning during the game without scoring at least one run against the Jayettes.

Perry ended up striking out six different times, but not without two separate singles from Johanna Diw.

The Jayettes are now at 8-12 overall. Perry will take on Carroll in an away makeup game on Friday morning at 11 a.m. and then travel to Pella on Saturday to compete in a tournament.
