Woodward-Granger baseball took on Earlham for the second time this season on Tuesday, this time traveling to play on the Cardinals’ home diamond. The change of location proved not to sway the Hawks as they beat Earlham 5-1.

Sophomore Jay Dorenkamp pitched the first five innings and only walked three batters while also getting three strikeouts. Senior Cole Theisen pitched the other two innings and also got three strikeouts while only walking one batter. Theisen went three for one at bat and scored the team one of the five runs.

Sophomore Reese Jamison batted four and one with one RBI by the end of the game. Another sophomore Brandon Worley batted two for one, scored one run, and got the game high of two RBIs. Junior Hunter Pifer also helped get the win by batting three and one, scoring one run, and getting one RBI.

This game puts the Hawks at a season record of 10-2. Their next game will be on Thursday night at Granger against Panorama.
