The Perry female soccer squad dropped their senior night matchup season, with a 4-1 loss to the visiting North Polk Comets (10-5).

At Dewey Field, the Jayettes’ (8-5) offense was held to just a lone score, when freshman Cris Gomez connected with sophomore Jacqueline Guardado for the team’s only goal.

In front of the net, senior Salena Garcia thwarted off seven of the Comet’s nine attempts, while sophomore Perla Odaly saved two goals out of four attempts in her 25 minutes of action.

Perry’s leading goal scorer, junior Natalie Martinez, was held without a goal. She currently sits at 22 goals. It is eight goals shy of Raccoon River Conference leader, Emma De Costa of Bondurant-Farrar.
