The Woodward-Granger High School and community will be cheering for one of their own.


Junior Cierra DeHoet nabbed the eighth and final qualifying spot after posting an 18-hole round score of 96 in this season’s regional meet at the Atlantic Country Club.


The May 21, event saw DeHoet record a first nine hole score of 50. She then managed to finish four stroke better with a 46 during her final nine holes.


DeHoet will head to Marshalltown where she will play at the American Legion Golf Course. The date is to be determined.


Teammate and senior Aubrey Mescher, who was also partaking at regionals, finished with a 132. She shot a 65 in the front and a 67 in the back nine.
