In their latest invite, Woodward-Granger boys’ golf team came in fourth place with a combined 9-hole round score of 196.


Hawks’ Nick Brummond had a solid day as he led the his team with a 44. He finished with a five pars, a bogey, two doubles and one triple on the par-3 hole eight.


Six strokes behind Brummond was teammate Trey Lettow with a 50. Both Coby Peters and Hunter Pierce each shot a 51. Jimmy Guzzi (53) and Nick Buch (72) also partook at the Friday, April 27, event.


At the 5x80 Golf Course near Menlo, the Exira-Elk-Horn-Kimballton Spartans took the top spot with a 176. The host West Central Valley Wildcats were second with a 187, and CAM H.S. was third with a 189.


The squad takes their talent to Panorama on Wednesday, May 2, for a West Central Activities Conference showdown against the host Panthers.
