Three days after the Hawks golfers placed third at the Witmer-Dunphy Invite in Perry, the boys finished their latest home event in second with a 181.


W-G’s Nick Brummond used his knowledge of the home course to shoot a round of 43 a the April 24, West Central Activities Conference meet. Brummond shot one birdie, two pars, three bogeys, and two doubles.


The trio of Matt Buch, Max Helbling, and Coby Peters all finished with scores in the 40s. Helbling shot a 45, Buch a 46 and Peters a 47. Trey Lettow’s 61 and Hunter Pierce 55 also participated.


As a team, the Panorama Panthers placed first with a 165. The AC/GC Chargers fell to the final spot with a 234.


The Hawks have two days to work on their drives and short games before heading to Stuart on April 27, for a contest versus the West Central Valley Wildcats.
