The Perry Jayettes’ soccer squad began their season on a high note with a 4-1 victory over the Carlisle Wildcats (0-1).
On the road on Thursday, April 5, the Jayettes (1-0) were firing on all as three players combined for all four goals in the decisive win.
Junior Natalie Martinez led all players with two goals and four points. Senior Sydney Guerra added a goal, an assist for three points.
Freshman Lillian Rodriguez made her Perry debut with a goal and two points. Junior Emely Rodriguez added an assist.
Up next the girls are set to play at home against the Polar bears of Des Moines North on April, 10.
