The Perry Jayettes’ were unable to find their offensive prowess in a 38-14 Raccoon River Conference loss against the host A-D-M Tigers (2-6, 1-2).


At Adel on Friday, Dec. 15, the Jayetes’(1-8, 0-3) defense held tight as they gave up just seven first quarter points but the offense only managed four.


It was a similar scenario in the second quarter when the home team was held to six points but the road team struggled for offense with only three,


The six point deficit for Perry ballooned to 16 after the Tigers clawed out 10 points in the third quarter and in the process didn’t allow the Jayettes a single score.


During the final quarter the Jayettes’ offense put up seven points but the home team continued their attack with 15.


Perry’s defense allowed the host to finish 14-for-44 from the field including 1-of-7 from three. They sent the Tigers to the free throw line 21 times.
