The Jayettes (5-21, 0-7) will have to wait until next year before they can snap their current seven game RRC losing streak after getting swept by the Carlisle Wildcats. (13-13, 4-2).


On Monday night, Oct. 9, Perry’s H.S. volleyball team failed in their attempt to capture that elusive first conference win as they suffered a 3-0 series sweep on on the road at Carlisle.


In their first set the Jayettes fell 12 points short, 25-13, before falling 25-9 in the second set. The final set faired just a little better than the other two with the team falling 25-15.


The squad combined for 29-of-35 in serves for an 82.9 percent serve efficiency. They notched 12 kills (Johanna Diw with six), 12 assists (Sidney Vancil with 11), 20 digs (Sydney Guerra with nine), and three aces (Isabel Saemisch with two.


The team has five days of practice as they get ready to travel to Knoxville, Iowa this coming Saturday for a Varsity Invitational hosted by the Knoxville Panthers.
