Former Perry High School golfer Nick Luett won the Memorial Golf Tournament for the third straight year on Sunday, July 9, at the Perry Golf and Country Club. This year’s tournament honored the memory of the late Larry and the late Pat Blaker of Perry. A total of 67 golfers competed in the fourth annual Memorial Golf Tournament.

Luett fired a 27-hole total of 105 (-3) to edge runner-up Tim McKnight, who carded a 107 (-1). Zach Weets took third place with a 109, while Paul Root claimed fourth with a 111.

While the championship flight played 27 holes, the lower flights all were 18 hole contests. In cases of ties, card-backs were used to determine flight places beginning with the number one handicap hole.
