Perry’s 41 points total landed them in sixth place overall at the Mustang Invitational in Dallas Center-Grimes.

First place winners the Gilbert Tigers recorded 156 points, with the host Mustangs in second with 121. In third place was the Carlisle Wildcats with 116.

Urbandale came in fourth with 64 points and the Winterset Huskies’ 51 earned them fourth place. In last place was the Chariton Chargers with 38 points.

At last Thursday’s meet Perry’s Reece Dunlap scored a first place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.21.

He also came in second place in the 200 with a run of 22.65. Perry’s Adan Medina placed fifth with a 23.78.

At the team events, the 4x200 team of Brandon Kenyon, Kaleb Olejniczak, Nic Fellom and Alexis Garrido recorded a run of 1:35.10 for second place,

The 800-sprint relay team of Dunlap, Medina, Rashon Ivory and Mano Martinez recorded the Bluejays’ final second place spot with a time of 1:37.58.
