An 18-hole golf round of 361 landed the Woodward-Granger Hawks’ boys team in seventh place at this year’s Perry Invitational.
At the Perry Golf and Country Club the Hawks weren’t able to keep their number of strokes down as they fell 51 strokes back of first place victors the Gilbert Tigers (310).
The A-D-M Tigers claimed second place with a round of 330 and in third place with a score of 332 was the Norwalk Warriors.
In fourth place was the Greene County Rams with a 350 score and just six strokes back was the host Perry Bluejays.
The Pella Christian Dutch’s score of 369 placed them seventh and bringing up the rear was the Carlisle Wildcats with a 396.
Joe Gibbons of Gilbert finished with the lowest round of the day at 73 for first place honors. Nick Brummond of W-G shot a round of 83 for the team’s highest seeded individual of the day, at 13.
Other W-G participants were Brady Aunspach (91), Austin Ober (91), Matt Buch (110), Nick Buch (113), and Hunter Pierce (116).
