Tyler Soll, a senior at Perry High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Soll is listed as a 6-0, 285 pound offensive and defensive lineman. On defense he had 57 tackles and two sacks this season and totaled 27.5 and 21.5 tackles as a junior and sophomore. He was an Academic All-State honoree this season and served as his team captain and was a first-team all-district honoree.

“Tyler will be a great addition to our program and the Defender offensive line. He gets of the ball well, plays with great leverage, and has very good balance. We noticed him last year at our prospect camp, and have wanted him in our program ever since,” said Dordt College football coach Joel Penner.

Tyler is the son of Brandon and Kandi Soll of Perry, Iowa. He plans to study Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
