Did You Know… this is a photo from Perry in 1933. Home Economics and shop were a big part of school then. I, for one, still have some of the projects I made in shop. One bowl sat every day on my mothers kitchen table. She’s gone now, but that wooden shop bowl has moved to my house now.
The things I learned in shop, I’ve used all these years, like “righty-tighty, lefty-loosely.” I’m sure there were Home Ec. lessons learned, that have stuck as well. I hope today’s Grads made some memories and learned some things that will serve them well for the rest of their lives as well.
Did You Know… where this grocery store was located?
