Did You Know… where this building was located, and what its was used for? This was Perry’s Methodist Church, for many years. The church was located, on the southeast corner of Third Street, just east of where La Poste is today.

They moved into their current location, just on the other end of that block, to the south. Perry’s many churches have been in various locations, over the years.

The churches you remember, are determined by the ones you attended, those that were in your neighborhood, or those located near a public building, like the Methodist church being across from our Post Office.

Churches moved, changed names, and some just went away. The corner, now home to the Catholic and Christian Churches, was once called Church Corner, as there were churches on all four corners there, in the early 1900s.
